Your photography is very inspiring. Kunsi Ashram looks beautiful. Thank you too for sharing Maharishi’s words of wisdom on the soft heart.
Andrew – I’ve been meaning to ask you: when someone speaks of “enlightenment” or claims someone is “enlightened”, how do you interpret that term “enlightenment”? My preferred interpretation is the full understanding of individual consciousness as an expression of universal pure consciousness. And following on from this, the unity that underlies and gives rise to diversity. That we are all one, in essence. This, I presume is an understanding that comes with the development of cosmic consciousness (as Maharishi defines it) and not necessarily the full evolution of consciousness, is “unity consciousness”, Would you please ‘enlighten’ me? Mark
Hi Mark, you are quite correct in your undestanding, that from one perspective ‘individual consciousness as an expression of collective consciousness’. The other perspective is that the universe, or collective consciousness, is in turn a consequence, experientially, of individual consciousness, which is a very compelling, if not challenging, concept. This is, initially, our experience of unbounded awareness during the TM practice, and later, of the dynamism within the silence, in our TM-Sidhi practice. This may give an insight to the power of the Sidhi practice in which just a few individuals practicing TM-Sidhi program together, can effectively influence positively, a whole population, depending on the numbers. An exponential technology of consciousness. In the final progression of consciousness, in Unity, or Brahman consciousness, the enlightened person, or saint, encompasses and comprehends all of creation, and in theory just a few enlightened souls can influence a world population, maybe even more than that. It’s a very profound question you ask, and would do well to address it to Dr Tony Nader for a more complete answer. Hope this helps, Andrew
